The blessed month we’ve all been waiting for has arrived!
I remember making dua (prayer) and hoping that Ramadan would come this year. Alhamdulillah it has reached us.
Let’s keep our faith strong and have hope and positive and beneficial thoughts in everything we do this month.
With just the right amount of potential and strength, we could accomplish what we would like and fulfill our deen (faith) by following a set of rules set forth upon us.
- do not eat, drink or smoke while fasting.
- lower your gaze
- avoid fighting, arguing, swearing or lying in any way
- avoid listening to music or wasting time on social media
- pray your five daily prayers on time
- study islam and learn more about your religion
- recite and learn about the quran
- make lots of dua and dhikr (spoken prayers)
- give to charity and help the poor and needy.
During this month, we not only cut out food from our day, but we must remember to better ourselves and become good Muslims during this month in order to be good after Ramadan. That’s the best way.
With these set of rules in mind, let’s enjoy our time with friends and family and make lots of memories that we’ll remember in the future!
That being said, let the adventure begin!
Ramadan Mubarak!
